Ways To Give

There are TONS of ways to give and get involved at the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation!

KFF is a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization. Donations made to KFF may be tax deductible!

Volunteer

The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation has the best volunteer opportunities around!

Volunteers are needed for events like Hats and Horses and Boots and Bling.

There are also many opportunities to volunteer at the Kansas State Fair including at 1861 Club and the Kansas State Fair Store (previously the Merchandise Booth).

Special Projects

The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation is always working to fulfill our purpose of furthering the renovation, construction, preservation and beautification of the Kansas State Fairgrounds. This means that we regularly have large and exciting projects in the works. The Capper Project was completed in 2023 and the 1861 Club was completed in 2024.

Projects on the Horizon

We are always looking to the future. One project we are excited about is the renovation of the Fountain House into the Kansas State Fair Store — Official name coming soon! See below for more info on how to support this project!

Fountain House Renovation

The Fountain House has housed the Official Kansas State Fair Merchandise Booth for many years. The small 10′ x 10′ booth takes up a small portion of the building. The renovation will fully enclose the building creating a full service store for Kansas State Fair merchandise.

For a minimum $250 donation, supporters of this project will have their name on a plaque within the building upon completion.

This project is slated for completion in time for the 2026 Kansas State Fair.

Boots and Bling

Boots and Bling is the signature event of the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation and has developed the reputation for being the best FUNdraising party in Kansas. Held annually in August, it is filled with music, fun, live and silent auction opportunities, and great food and drinks! You can join the party – all in your cowboys Boots with a little Bling!

Table sponsorships have sold out quickly each year, so be sure to reserve your table today so that you don’t miss out on all the fun! GEM level sponsorships provide additional benefits and include one or more tables depending on the level of sponsorship. Consider a GEM level sponsorship for more BLING and more FUN!

Hats and Horses

Hats and Horses is the newest luxury fundraising event centered on the most exciting two minutes in sports: The Kentucky Derby!

Table sponsorships are available in three levels: Millionaires Row, Jockey Club and Suites. Millionaires Row has very limited availability and includes butler service, special gifts, and seating in the VIP section. Jockey Club tables seat up to 10, while Suite level tables can seat up to 6.

Most Needed Donation

The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation provides support to numerous and various projects on the Kansas State Fairgrounds each year. Make your donation for the  general support of the Foundation and allow your donation to be used where most needed.

Grow the Fair

Legacy/Planned Giving

The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation is working to establish endowment funds to provide for ongoing financial support of the Kansas State Fair. Established endowments grow over time and provide for permanent funding that enables more effective strategic planning for the future and ensures that the Kansas State Fair infrastructure will be maintained and improved for generations to come. Anyone can contribute to the Grow the Fair endowed funds with a gift of any size. There are many ways to make a gift, including:
  • Cash
  • Bequest in will
  • Outright gift of stock and/or real estate
  • Life income gifts
  • Gifts of life insurance
  • Gifts of retirement assets
A charitable bequest in a will is the most common gift as it is flexible, revocable and allows you to control your assets during your lifetime. Annuities and certain trusts can provide an income stream plus tax benefits, as can a gift that provides current income from the endowment fund while preserving your estate’s value for heirs.

We encourage you to seek the advice of a financial planning advisor before making any decisions about your estate. The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation staff is also available to answer any questions. Please email info@KsFgF.org for more information.

You may use the Future Gift Intent Form below whenever you are ready. The form may be filled out online or printed off to fill out manually. You may mail the completed form to the address on the bottom of the form, or email it to info@KsFgF.org.
