November is here at the 1861 Club, and while January is more known for being the right time to make changes, November is about to get its moment.
We’ve always shared about what’s been going on at 1861 Club. Weddings, galas, meetings, trainings and more. However, we’ve typically shared events that have already happened. We love sharing photos and meaningful moments and overall simply celebrating all the successful events that shared our space — but we’re ready to look forward.
Starting this month, we will be sharing upcoming events so you can plan to stop by and get involved at 1861 Club or simply be in the know about what’s happening.
So, here’s what is coming up in November:
Events to get involved with:
Tech Gala
This 10th annual event is one you won’t want to miss! Tech is an important part of our community with their mission to assist individuals with disabilities to live full and productive lives by fostering creativity, self-worth, independence and connection.
Be sure to get your tickets and join us at the Club! As of Thursday, November 5th, they’ve announced that tickets are almost sold out! We can’t wait to have a packed house for this event!
Events to appreciate:
We have two weddings this month! We are thrilled to provide our service for such important and beautiful events like these.
In addition, Heartland Credit Union will be staying as proactive as always with their Leadership Development Day and the NJCAA is hosting their Volleyball Banquet with us as well.
After all that, it will finally be time to decorate for Christmas, the most wonderful time of year! Stay tuned next month to hear all about the festive fun planned for December!
October Events:
Since changing the style of this feature means that October kind of gets skipped, here are some notable events from October we loved being a part of!
- Open Door Fall Fundraiser
- Kansas State Fair Volunteer Appreciation Supper
- Chamber Breakfast
- United Way Spark Tank
- Plus weddings, trainings, and meetings!
We’ll see you at 1861 Club!
About the 1861 Club
The 1861 Club is a flexible, lodge style event venue located on the Kansas State Fairgrounds and operated by the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation. For most of the year it operates as a high-end venue for weddings, special and corporate events, and activities. During the Kansas State Fair, it is transformed into a climate-controlled food, beverage and entertainment venue for fast fine dining and an entertainment experience for all Fair attendees.
Funds raised at the 1861 Club are put back into projects which improve the Kansas State Fairgrounds. These improvements are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. So, enjoying the 1861 Club during the Fair and year-round supports the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation’s mission: To further the renovation, construction, preservation and beautification of the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
