What. A. Month!
The 2026 Kansas State Fair brought ten days of fun to the 1861 Club, and night after night, this place was THE place to be! We truly had a little something for everyone — cool AC, games on the TVs, live music on the patio, delicious food, cold drinks, and plenty of reasons to sit back and stay awhile.
Then, as the sun went down, we turned up the energy!
Our Nine Lives Concert Series brought incredible artists to the Club throughout the Fair, filling our evenings with live music, dancing, and some seriously good vibes. Whether you came to grab a bite, cool off, catch a game, listen to music, or dance the night away, we loved seeing so many familiar and new faces enjoying the Club!
And apparently, we don’t believe in slowing down.
Just a few short days after the Fair wrapped up, we completely transformed the 1861 Club and welcomed 400 guests for a beautiful wedding! From concert crowds to wedding celebrations, it’s always fun to show just how versatile this venue can be. The space looked absolutely beautiful, and even better — everyone had a great time!
We closed out September by hosting a Celebration of Life — a meaningful gathering filled with memories, connection, and time spent together. We’re honored that families choose the 1861 Club not only for the big celebrations, but also for the moments that matter most.
September reminded us of exactly what makes the 1861 Club so special: music, celebrations, community, and bringing people together.
And we’re not done yet!

About the 1861 Club
The 1861 Club is a flexible, lodge style event venue located on the Kansas State Fairgrounds and operated by the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation. For most of the year it operates as a high-end venue for weddings, special and corporate events, and activities. During the Kansas State Fair, it is transformed into a climate-controlled food, beverage and entertainment venue for fast fine dining and an entertainment experience for all Fair attendees.
Funds raised at the 1861 Club are put back into projects which improve the Kansas State Fairgrounds. These improvements are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. So, enjoying the 1861 Club during the Fair and year-round supports the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation’s mission: To further the renovation, construction, preservation and beautification of the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
