For the first time in more than a decade, the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are returning to the Kansas State Fair!
Throughout the Fair, the Clydesdales will make scheduled appearances at two places closely connected to the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation — the 1861 Club and the historic Lair White House, giving fairgoers the chance to see these iconic horses up close and have photo opportunities. In fact, these will be among the only locations they will stop for photo opportunities during the 2026 Kansas State Fair aside from the Clydesdales’ own tents and hitching area.
The official appearance schedule is yet to be announced, so stay tuned for your chance to witness this memorable return!
In addition to the excitement of the Clysdales, the Foundation will also be active with the Official Kansas State Fair Merchandise Booth selling shirts, souvenirs and taffy!
1861 Club will also be open for all your food, beverage, and entertainment needs, featuring the Nine Lives: Free Fairtime Concert Series with nine nights of live music! New this year, in addition to our evening entertainment, is outdoor entertainment during the day on the 1861 Club Patio!
New this year for the Foundation and 1861 Club is operation of the Big Slide! It’s undergone a lot of changes thanks to the hard work, dedication and generosity of many local businesses. Be on the lookout for the official press release coming soon!
