We’re looking for a part-time Event Assistant to help bring events to life at the 1861 Club.
This is a hands-on role during events, mostly in the evenings and on weekends, especially during our busiest seasons. You’ll help supervise and support event staff, assist clients with basic audio/visual needs during their events, and jump in wherever needed to make sure things run smoothly.
You’ll also play a hands-on role in Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation events throughout the year, as well as during the Kansas State Fair — one of our most exciting and fast-paced times. The 1861 Club is operated by the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation, and many Foundation events take place at the 1861 Club.
Hours will vary month to month depending on the event schedule, so flexibility is key. For the right person, there’s also room for this role to grow into something bigger over time.
If you’re someone who enjoys being part of the behind-the-scenes work that makes memorable events happen — and you’re comfortable in a dynamic, people-focused environment — we’d love to set up an interview.
