March was a busy and exciting month at the 1861 Club, filled with growth, celebrations, and plenty of laughter.
Weddings & Event Prep
We welcomed many future couples through our doors for venue tours, and it’s been so exciting to see so many beautiful weddings taking shape. Behind the scenes, our team has also been hard at work preparing for upcoming events like Hats & Horses, our Luxury Kentucky Derby event, and the Kansas State Fair. We’re looking forward to bringing these experiences to life in the months ahead!
Events
This month, we had the honor of hosting the Salty Spurs Auction & Banquet as well as the Chamber Breakfast. As always, our team delivered exceptional service, and we continue to be incredibly grateful for the kind feedback and for guests who appreciate the unique beauty of the 1861 Club.
Liquid Aloha Series: Haha Hutch Comedy Night

Our standout event this month was the Liquid Aloha Series: Haha Hutch Comedy Night featuring comedian Brett Riley! The night was filled with nonstop laughter and great energy — truly a memorable evening for everyone in attendance.
A huge thank you to our event sponsors: Kona Brewing, Liquid Death, and Black Rifle Coffee. Your support helped make the night such a success!
Also a big thank you to dB extreme for providing another amazing Photo Booth and capturing the memories of such a fun night!

Looking Ahead
With a full calendar and exciting events on the horizon, we’re heading into April feeling energized and grateful. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the 1861 Club — we couldn’t do it without you!

About the 1861 Club
The 1861 Club is a flexible, lodge style event venue located on the Kansas State Fairgrounds and operated by the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation. For most of the year it operates as a high-end venue for weddings, special and corporate events, and activities. During the Kansas State Fair, it is transformed into a climate-controlled food, beverage and entertainment venue for fast fine dining and entertainment experience for all Fair attendees.
Funds raised at the 1861 Club are put back into projects which improve the Kansas State Fairgrounds, these improvements are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. So, enjoying the 1861 Club during the Fair and year-round supports the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation’s mission: To further the renovation, construction, preservation and beautification of the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
