As we look back on November, our hearts are full — and so was the venue! We are incredibly thankful for how busy and joy-filled this past month has been at the 1861 Club. From banquets and birthdays to fundraisers, holiday parties, and beautiful weddings, the momentum of the season hasn’t slowed us down one bit.
Business Buzz
Alongside the celebrations, we continued hosting a steady flow of meetings, venue tours, and, of course, the Chamber Breakfast. The holiday season may be approaching, but the 1861 Club is buzzing stronger than ever! One of the highlights this month was the United Way Shop Local Event. It was an absolute hit and brought so much energy and community spirit through our doors.
Wonderful Weddings
We also had the honor of celebrating two incredible couples. The Dosch Wedding was an absolute blast! Similarly, The Lee Wedding, was breathtakingly gorgeous—with all that stunning pampas grass coming straight from their family property! Congratulations to our newlyweds!

About the 1861 Club
The 1861 Club is a flexible, lodge style event venue located on the Kansas State Fairgrounds and operated by the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation. For most of the year it operates as a high-end venue for weddings, special and corporate events, and activities. During the Kansas State Fair, it is transformed into a climate-controlled food, beverage and entertainment venue for fast fine dining and entertainment experience for all Fair attendees.
Funds raised at the 1861 Club are put back into projects which improve the Kansas State Fairgrounds, these improvements are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. So, enjoying the 1861 Club during the Fair and year-round supports the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation’s mission: To further the renovation, construction, preservation and beautification of the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
