What an incredible Kansas State Fair! The 1861 Club was buzzing with energy, and we can’t thank you enough for joining us.
Our new Fresh Finds menu was a big hit! The Chef Salad was a refreshing option for many of our guests this year. If you prefer more traditional Fair Food, the 1861 Club “Oh My” Crème Brûlée Pastry and the Cluck’n Chicken Sandwich didn’t disappoint, and both made social media appearances!
We didn’t let a little rain stop us! The 1861 Club stayed in full swing with top entertainment. Dueling Pianos filled the seats both nights providing evenings full of fun! We had the privilege of a special guest performance by singer songwriter, and friend, Nicolle Galyon!
Paramount is always a hit and packed the house!
The Kansas City Chiefs Drumline and KC Wolf brought the spirit with a surprise pep rally—what a show! Throughout the Fair, the 1861 Club is definitely the place to be!
But we didn’t slow down after Fair week! September wrapped up with some amazing events right here at the Club including Crossroads Christian Church 50th Anniversary, United Way Kickoff, & Dinner with the Cosmosphere.
It’s been a month full of unforgettable moments, and we can’t wait for all that’s ahead this fall at the 1861 Club!
About the 1861 Club
The 1861 Club is a flexible, lodge style event venue located on the Kansas State Fairgrounds and operated by the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation. For most of the year it operates as a high-end venue for weddings, special and corporate events, and activities. During the Kansas State Fair, it is transformed into a climate-controlled food, beverage and entertainment venue for fast fine dining and entertainment experience for all Fair attendees.
Funds raised at the 1861 Club are put back into projects which improve the Kansas State Fairgrounds, these improvements are enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year. So, enjoying the 1861 Club during the Fair and year-round supports the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation’s mission: To further the renovation, construction, preservation and beautification of the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
