Fred Rogers said “Look for the helpers you will always find people who are helping.” 

For ten days in September the Kansas State Fair shows off the best that Kansas has to offer.  While many are awed and amazed with the exhibits, food and entertainment, there is an unspoken, often unnoticed display of the best of Kansas and that is the volunteers of the Fair.  These are the people and families who show up to make the Fair great.  They’re involved in the Fair’s programs and activities; entering and exhibiting at the Fair; giving their time and expertise towards improving the Fair; serving on committees and boards associated with the Fair; annual attendance and participation in Fair programs and activities; as well as financial support of the Fair.  They receive no compensation and often put in long hours on their feet before, during and after the Fair.  The Fair would not be possible without this group.  

The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation is excited to recognize these individuals and families with the Impact Award.  We are asking for your help in identifying and recognizing these people.  Nominations are open through March 15, 2025 on our website.  Please take a few minutes of time to fill out the form and nominate an individual or family you believe has made an Impact on the Kansas State Fair.
