1861 Club Update – The Best Venue for Any Event

In November, the 1861 Club had the pleasure of hosting several wonderful events that kept us busy.

Dawn Johnson, USD 308 Superintendent and Army Reservist, held a private ceremony recognizing her promotion to Brigadier General.

Congratulations, Dawn, and thank you for your service.

Heartland Credit Union management team spent a day training at the 1861 Club.

Salt City Racing held its annual awards banquet at the 1861 Club. It was a great turn out and the night was full of fun, laughter, and recognition for a great racing season.

At the monthly Chamber of Commerce Breakfast, the guest speaker Dr. J. Ernest Minton, Dean of College of Agriculture, Kansas State University shared an update on the KSU campus projects. The Chamber also recognized the Headings family for the Farm Focus of the Year for Reno County. The breakfast was well attended by many local farmers and chamber members.

Congratulations to the Headings family, and a big thank you to the farmers for all that you do.

The 1861 Club and Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation shared a booth at the annual Chamber of Commerce Expo. Many stopped by to visit and sign up for the drawing of two pairs of tickets to the New Year’s Eve party at the 1861 Club. The lucky winners were Arianna Garcia and Danielle Bornholdt.

Congratulations ladies, we will see you on New Year’s Eve!

A special thank you to the board members and spouses who helped decorate the 1861 Club for the Christmas holidays. The 1861 Club looks festive and is ready to host many December Christmas parties.
