Falling in Love at 1861 Club
As we move into fall, the 1861 Club is in full swing of hosting weddings and special events. During the month of October, the 1861 Club was the host of three weddings, and what wonderful events they were. Each bride was beautiful, with each event being very different and unique in its own way.

Congratulations on your wedding day. The 1861 Club staff would like to thank you for letting us share this joyful day with you and we wish you much joy, happiness, and success.
An Electrifying Announcement
On Monday, October 21st, the 1861 Club was the site for a Chamber of Commerce/Evergy event with a major announcement on the construction of two new natural gas generation plants in Kansas. One near Hutchinson and one in Sumner County. Hutch Chamber President Debra Tuefel welcomed David Campbell, Evergy Chairman and CEO, and Kansas Governor Laura Kelly in making this announcement to a crowd of nearly 200 local chamber members that were in attendance. Other speakers and attendees were US Congressman, Tracey Mann, Kansas Senate President, Ty Masterson, Chair of House Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, Leo Delperdang, Chair of Senate Utilities, Michael Fagg, Hutchinson Mayor Greg Fast and other representatives from Topeka, the Reno County Commission, and Hutchinson city council members.

Thank you to Evergy and the Chamber of Commerce for selecting the 1861 Club as the site to share this major project announcement and the insights on the economic development success it will bring to Reno County. We look forward to following this project and the positive impact it will have on the community for years to come.
