The Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation welcomes Claire Mahoney to the Foundation Team. Claire joined the Foundation team in early July to assist with bookkeeping and accounting and will work with the Foundation through the 2024 Kansas State Fair.
Welcome Claire!

The summer of 2024 is bringing new challenges and endeavors for the Foundation accounting process with the traditional activities of Boots & Bling, along with running the Kansas State Fair “Official Merchandise” Booth. The opening of the new 1861 Club by the Foundation for the 2024 Kansas State Fair brings a new aspect to the accounting process with the integration of the income from the 1861 Club into the Foundation’s finances.
Claire joins the Foundation team having graduated this past May from the Wake Forest University School of Business, Winston-Salem, NC with a Master of Science in Accountancy. While working with the Foundation this summer she will also be studying for her CPA exam having accepted a job with Price Waterhouse Accounting Firm starting this fall.
Claire will carry out the general bookkeeping and accounting duties, work on the integration of the 1861 Club’s point of sale system into the Foundation’s accounting program as well as work on the integration of Bloomerang, the Foundation’s donor management system.
The Foundation is excited to have Claire as a part of the Foundation team as we move through these formable months of integration and new activities.
