The Kansas State Fair offers opportunities in a wide array of competitions through its Competitive Exhibit division. One unique opportunity for the 2024 Kansas State Fair is in the Clothing & Textiles category. While still offering their normal quilt block competition, they’ve added a special Boots & Bling quilt block contest for the 2024 Kansas State Fair. 

This competition will allow the exhibitor to use their creative juices for the block while following the boot pattern provided by the Competitive Exhibit department for the quilt block.

These cowboy boot style “Boots & Bling” quilt blocks will be made into a quilt by Sew In 2 Quilts of Hutchinson. This quilt will then be sold at the Foundation’s 2025 Boots & Bling FUNdraising event with the proceeds used towards improvements to the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
