Thank you for Coming “Together”! – An End of Year Letter

Wow, as we look at the accomplishments in 2023, we pause to say THANK YOU for Coming “Together”! Thank you for giving your time, talents, and resources, as well as your words of encouragement. THANK YOU for making 2023 a banner year for the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation in improving the Kansas State Fairgrounds. Your support took the Capper Project from a vision to COMPLETION, creating a gorgeous centerpiece for the Fairgrounds and a renewed hub of entertainment and education at the House of Capper and the Capper Cooperative Park.

Your support allowed thousands of children to play in the stunning colors of the repainted Lair-Steckline Interactive Water Fountain. These are two examples of renovation and building projects your donations supported to beautify the Kansas State Fairgrounds in 2023.

As one project is completed, others are underway. The Foundation is working to gather the funds to renovate and repurpose the Fountain House.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! For years, what we now call the Fountain House was known as The Cattlemen’s restaurant. The renovation of this building will allow for the expansion of the Foundation’s “Official” KSF Merchandise Store, and during non-fair times, it will provide an excellent facility for year-round activities. Once renovated, this building will make the perfect partner location for corporate and announcement events or weddings held at the House of Capper and Capper Cooperative Park, completing renovations in this section of the fairgrounds.

YOUR support is needed to gather the necessary funds to renovate this building. All donations are appreciated. A minimum donation of $250 towards this project will include you as a member of the 2023 T.A.G. Team. (Together Achieving Greatness)

While renovation of the Fountain House is the focus of our 2023 End-of-Year fundraising, the Foundation continues to work on other projects. The building of the 1861 Club, privately funded for the benefit of the Fair and Foundation, this beautiful, high-ceiling, heavy timber, stone, and glass venue will have its GRAND OPENING during the 2024 Kansas State Fair as a food, beverage, and entertainment venue. Year-round, the 1861 Club will be available for private event rental, bringing additional revenue and resources to the Foundation, the Fair, and Hutchinson. Are you interested in being a part of the funding team for this project? Please contact the Foundation at James.Fisher@KsFgF.org or call (620)615-7388 today.

The Foundation is working with the Kansas State Fair to create a State-of-the ArtAg Innovation & Education Center in the Bison Arena Building. Partner opportunities for this significant project are now available, please contact the Foundation for more details and information.

The Kansas State Fair builds life-time memories! Help us open the eyes of people of all ages to new and exciting opportunities. As you contemplate your year-end giving, we hope you find the Kansas Fairgrounds Foundation’s mission, to improve the Kansas State Fairgrounds, deserving of your consideration and support. Please use the form enclosed in making your end-of-year donation. If you prefer to make your donation online, please visit our website at www.KsFairgroundsFoundation.org.
